2P&P Weekly Blog for week of 7-13 June 2025

It’s often in bending or bowing or trying to get just the right angle on a subject or thing of beauty that Jesus gives me the sweetest view.

If you were a rabbit or a duck, this clover would be your wildflower patch. Isn’t that an amazing thought? To me, it was because as I knelt to take a photograph of a bunny nibbling his breakfast, this is exactly the way that I saw this vignette of “weeds.”

How wonderful and majestic is our God that He would provide the animals with such beauty? Think of it, even they get to enjoy posies that are perfectly scaled to their height and viewing pleasure.

Oh Lord, I marvel at Your majesty when I behold all that Your hands have made. Even the animals have wildflowers to eat, dance and hide within, and wherein to play.

When we came upon this scene, it filled my heart with joy. Because if the Lord of the Universe gave the rabbits and the ducks such lush and lovely settings—how much more does that indicate how He provides not only for our every need, but for our every living-landscape? For everything that touches us and encircles us?

Jesus, I’m amazed by how You love every creature, and us, as Your creations. How can we do anything but bow and give You heartfelt praise and adoration?

If God gives the animals of earth little gardens such as this—we should trust—that He wants us to bloom and flourish. Put your hope in the One Who makes all things beautiful. Let Him hold the scale of everything in your life—by putting your faith—in the height and depth and breadth of His love.

Wherever you live is your wildflower patch. Will you look for how God is displaying Himself, His character and goodness, right before your eyes?

“God gives such beauty to everything that grows in the fields, even though it is here today and thrown into a fire tomorrow. He will surely do even more for you! Why do you have such little faith?” Matthew 6:30 CEV

If we bow—every so often—we’ll catch these awesome glimpses into our Creator’s heart. And we may even learn to see that we have a few wildflower patches that we were viewing as weeds. May these spots teach us to dance and praise and hide in His very midst.

God made all creatures, from A—ants to Z—zebras. With creativity, individuality, and in some cases humor, they enchant and delight us. Have you ever simply pondered their colors, shapes, and the varying places in which they reside? How does doing so enlarge your knowledge of God’s love?
