This is an image of one of my favorite Christmas cards.
This is an image of one of my favorite Christmas cards.

One Silent Night,

The Babe’s cry split the night,

From divinity,

He was humanly born.

Then 33 years later,

He would cry out again …

That His work of love,

Was “finished”,

Upon the Cross of Calvary.

But let His life,

His death and resurrection,

Bring to you …

His holy light,

To shine the gift of His grace,

Into your heart.

For as we bow,

We allow,

His Spirit—to breathe!

Immanuel means “God with us.” But more importantly? He came as a Babe, as a Savior, to live “in and through us”.

May this Silent Night,

Not pass you by,

Without you taking notice,

That Jesus came,

So that you would draw nigh …

Not just to the manger,

Not simply to appreciate His love at Calvary,

But so that He would be the center of your soul!

May we not be silent, but call upon His name with praise and adoration; and share the gift of Who He is with the world!

Matthew 1:23, Romans 8:26-27, Galatians 5:22-23, Luke 2, Luke 23
