A Monarch caterpillar

Are we aware that miracles,

Surround us everyday?

Are we willing to see,

What is right along our way?

For if a “worm” can transform,

Into a creature of flight,

What more could God give us,

To display His power and might?

I find it a miracle that this worm (a Monarch caterpillar) made of stripes of white, yellow, and black—will become what we know as the Monarch butterfly. Think of it, something that crawls upon the ground will develop into something that soars. Can we see it in any other way than as a miracle that many will pass right by?

Dear Jesus, 

You are ever working a miracle,

Of my heart and mind.

For I see only a humble creature,

Yet You see a beautiful (or handsome) design.

And I believe that You’re transforming,

Each of us,

As Your Spirit moves and changes,

To powerfully make us, thusly …

—Into Your image.

Oh God, it is You that we trust! Amen.

A monarch butterfly

When you feel that you are not enough, or your spirits drag, don’t lose heart. God is at work creating something new. He is not done with His perfect design. Trust that His power and might will bring to life all that He sees. Until then, do your best right where you are; give, serve, and live for Him. And at the right time, He will set you free to do all that He has preordained.

If God does not leave the monarch caterpillar on the ground but instead created it to soar—how much more does He plan visible miracles in your life and mine?

“But if I were you, I would appeal to God; I would lay my cause before him. He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted.” Job 5:8-9 NIV

And if He does these types of things on earth, imagine the miracles in the kingdom to come.
