Sometimes, God blesses us with the most delightful surprises, in the most unexpected places, from unfamiliar faces. One morning, during our walk, I stumbled upon a treasure. A smile, a priceless gift, left behind by a playful child. It was a happy accident, not just for me, but for you too! It's as if God knew we needed a gentle reminder that He also smiles upon us.

His love is evident all around us, but sometimes we are too busy to notice. We can miss the smile of a child, the fragrance of a flower, the joy in a laugh, the connection with a friend, or seeing how blessed we truly are. We can take basic, everyday needs that are being met and yet not really be grateful.

Smile, for God's love is upon you. It’s a simple yet profound thought, one that perhaps you needed to hear, in a clear, straightforward manner, from the innocent perspective of a child. Maybe a chalk drawing on the sidewalk will serve as a close-up reminder, that God loved you as a child, and He continues to love you.

He’s still smiling, still in love, still pursuing you. So smile back, go on, you know you want to. Look up to heaven and smile, give that silly grin of yours, to everyone you meet. It’s the greatest gift we have to give. It is one of the simplest ways to show His love.

Psalms 31: 14-16 “But I trusted in You, O Lord; I said, ‘You are my God.’ 15 My times are in Your hand; … 16 Make Your face to shine on Your servant; save me by Your lovingkindness (MEV).”

Smiling is effortless; it requires only a few muscles, yet it can bring about the most significant changes in your mind, heart, and disposition. Sharing love through a smile is a gift we can offer to every person we encounter. It's a universal language that can bridge gaps between new friends, strengthen bonds with old friends, or even transform acquaintances into friends. So, use your most powerful tool of love, your smile, because love looks beautiful on you!

John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another (NIV).”
