Weekly Inspiration for 15-21 October 2022

One of the neatest things about the house that we rent in Wisconsin, is that in Autumn we get the loveliest glow, that comes shining in our front windows from the tree out front. As the leaves are transformed into their jewel-like tones, they are reflected into the interior of our home. Just walking into our living room or our upstairs sitting room, we’re met with this golden radiance. It happens only in Fall. It’s like the rooms are illuminated, even when there’s no light on.
Dear Lord, I love how You make our home glow with the colors of Autumn. This time of year is so special and brings an illumination that no other season offers. I pray that Your Spirit does the same within my heart, Jesus. May my face have a radiance that displays Your love that comes from deep inside. May it never fade away. Amen.
When Jesus lives within us, there is a glow of His Spirit that radiates from us, even when there’s no light around us. Let it be so, dear Lord. Oh, let it be so!
“You are the world’s light—a city on a hill, glowing in the night for all to see. Don’t hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.” Matthew 5:14-16 TLB
The glow outside (from the leaves) wove its way into our home. The glow of God’s Spirit moves in reverse—from the soul, outward—to reflect our love for Jesus.
