Proclaiming Jesus

This was a Cross found at a campsite proclaiming "Jesus is Lord."

We were preparing to walk in a state park. On our way in, we passed the campground area. Here, one of the parties displayed a flag. Another, posted “Welcome” and their names. And yet another, had brought along this Cross to mark their designated place. It was a sweet signpost along our path. I smiled when I saw it and felt a kinship with them, even though we did not meet or know these folks.

That’s what being a child of God does in our lives. It makes us part of His family. It gives us the right to be called sons and daughters of the King. It provides us sisters and brothers in His kingdom. And it gives us the gift of eternal life, while securing our future in His presence.

Proclaiming Jesus on earth, is a beautiful way to give our testimony of His faithfulness. It’s a wonderful way to share what He’s done for us and within our hearts. And the things we do, say, and even display—are signs to the world—that we believe in the Most High God.

Jesus, is the One worth proclaiming and following. He’s the One Who is worthy of our praise. And He alone, can proclaim us, to be His child.
