This deer appeared to peek at us through the leaves. She displayed curiosity. This is a trait that can actually draw us into faith in Jesus.
Peeking to See

I love how this deer’s curiosity toward us, is almost visible. She seems to be “peeking” out from the fresh foliage, that is appearing as Spring is newly arrived. She seems to have an almost cautious expression, as if she’s questioning (or testing her senses) to evaluate whether we can be trusted.

Yet of all the things or creatures or people that you will ever encounter on earth—God—is the One, that is dependable, trustworthy, and will never leave you, or let you down. So when you feel a little scared, a little fearful, a little uncertain of your circumstances or next step … just call out His name.

Peeking to see, this deer found us, to simply be taking a walk on a trail in the midst of her natural habitat. She even stayed in the area, and continued to enjoy her meal of fresh leaves and such. She was able to sense that we meant her no harm.

Don’t be afraid to cry to the Lord. Peek into His Word. Investigate His ways. Search out some of His followers. Attend church. Pray, speak your heart openly and honestly. Give God a little of your heart, some of your faith—and you might just find that peeking to see—leads you into new spaces and into a greater trust in Your Creator and dearest Friend.

Curiosity about God, may be the first sign in your heart, that you’re taking a step of faith, to make Him your Lord and Savior.

Hebrews 11:1 & 6, 2 Corinthians 5:7, 1 Peter 1:8-9, Romans 10:9-10
