We loved finding a national ad campaign honoring the Word in the Holiday Season
We loved finding a national ad campaign honoring the Word in the Holiday Season

We passed this billboard as we were running an errand in our fair city. It grabbed my attention for several reasons. 1) It’s a national company, willing, to quote a Scriptural concept. 2) They have verses, also notated, in the ad. 3) Prayer, is depicted in the artwork.

How refreshing in this year of uncertainty. How wonderful to see an ad that places God and His Word—first—in this holiday season. How sweet it is, on our city’s skyline, to see truth, proclaimed.

Dear Jesus, You are our Daily Bread. You are the One that we pray to, and ask for wisdom, healing, and grace, in the days ahead. May You bless our nation as we bow before Your throne. May this Holy season, be a time when we lift You, higher. May we proclaim You with our every word, card, gift given, and smallest act of kindness. Amen.

We are a “billboard" to those around us. What are we conveying—of His love, from His Word, and with our giving, in this season that celebrates Jesus’ birth?

Not by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. May we proclaim Him, serve Him, and love Him—and others, so that they “taste and see that He is good (Psalm 34:8).”

“And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live.” Deuteronomy 8:3 KJV
