“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:5-7 NIV
Dear Jehovah, teach my heart to love You like this—fully, completely, devotedly—in such a surrendered way that every part of me is engaged to know You. Let Your Word and Your voice saturate my soul, so that I am like a vessel that cannot help but share Your goodness, grace and gift of Salvation. Let the words from my mouth point to You. May the actions of hands echo with Your kindness. And may my steps emulate Yours, I pray. And as You walk with me and watch over me from my rising to resting each day, may my trust remain steadfast. Amen.
When you’re engaged in a relationship with Jesus, you can’t help but be engaged in the things that honor and please Him. That’s how we live out His love—to Him as worship, and to others as loving-kindness.
