Look to the Right

2 P&P Weekly Blog for week of 28 February - 6 March 2026

When we are driving, making life choices, or taking a walk in the woodlands, we need to: look to the left, look to the right, and turn our eyes forward. Where our eyes face is the direction that we will follow.

This was from a “photo session” with Muffin. These images were captured by my brother, Gary. Muffin had sweetly laid down in the sun and turned as if he modeled—for this very illustration. 

“Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you. Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.” Proverbs 4:25-26 NLT

Look to the left,

Look to the right,

It helps us to know,

Which path to follow.

Look to the left, 

Look to the right,

Pray, discern,

Where you should go.

Look to the left,

Look to the right,

Pause until

He gives you direction.

Look to the left,

Look to the right,

Then fix your eyes,

Unto the Lord.

Jesus makes our paths straight if we ask Him to show us. He paves the way we are to take with peace and the presence of His light. Just as the sunshine touched Muffin’s head, turning from side to side, the Lord is by our side to make our way clear. 

“For God, who said, ‘Let there be light in the darkness,’ has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6 NLT

Look to the left, and ask God His Will for you.

Look to the right, seek, and follow, His voice.

Look up, ahead, keep your eyes upon the Savior,

And you will know perfect peace, 

When you have found His touch of Light.
