Lord, light a firework,

Inside my heart.

Let Your Spirit,

Sparkle, to shine.

May the glow of Your love,

Rise up, until,

I praise You,

Holy, Divine.

A firework exploding!
A firework exploding!

Jesus, light a flame,

Inside my soul.

Let Your hope,

Burn ever bright.

Illuminate my life,

With the power,

Of Your strength,

Until, it’s clear,

That I am, Thine.

Father, in the dark,

Or on brightest day,

May I be a light for You.

Let my devotion,

Not simply burst,

Or explode,

But keep me ever,

Close, to You, it’s true.

Ever think of a firework as an analogy—for the light, hope, and spark of joy—that Jesus places inside of us? Ever see it, rising, like God’s Spirit in His child, to illuminate our lives and those around us? I loved this thought. For as we behold these man-made wonders, may they help lift our eyes upward, toward the One who places His ember of love within every believer. This is independence! This is liberty. And it lifts us, above our darkness, to radiate His glory all over the world. May God be praised!

"Never let the fire in your heart go out. Keep it alive. Serve the Lord. When you hope, be joyful. When you suffer, be patient. When you pray, be faithful. Share with God's people who are in need. Welcome others into your homes. “ Romans 12:11-13 NIRV

God’s wonder-working power, should shine forth from those who love Him. It should be like a beacon, rising, glowing—ever alive within us. It should point to the One we honor. And it should not simply burst out as a single splash of color, but leave a lasting impression. That’s light! Are you, a one-time splash like a firework? Or a work of God, burning brightly for His kingdom?
