In Tender Bud

We have a huge Maple tree in front of our house. As you might imagine, it gets beautiful in Autumn. But it’s also quite interesting in other seasons. Take the coming of Spring, for example. My photo shows how it currently looks. I love how the swiftly forming leaves look like small flowers.
Dear Lord, how amazing are Your creations! I find something new to marvel at each day. I see miracles in these things that You’re constantly making new. The barren branches of a few weeks ago are waking from winter’s slumber. They are painted in dusty hues like flowers in bud. But soon, these buds will turn to green leaves. These will sway in the wind and create their own version of music. Thank You, Jesus, for showing me transformation. I trust that You’re about the same within my heart and mind. Create of me what You desire from Your original blueprint. And let me be moldable so that I conform to what You’re about to bring to pass. I’ll sing Your praise, knowing that whatever You’re up to will be for my good. Amen.
Springtime is a reminder of God’s resurrection power—at work, making all things new. Here’s confirmation of this truth from His Word:
I love this reminder from 2 Corinthians 5:17, especially in the AMP translation! “Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life].”
If you see only a tender bud in your life, hold on; a new life is about to appear. Trust that the Lord is working on—and in you—to bring it to pass.
