An artistic view of our Nation's Flag

The first Memorial Day was observed in 1868. It is observed on the last Monday in May and is set aside to remember those who have given their lives while serving in the Armed Forces.

To those who have died,

Who have given their lives away ...

We salute you.

To those who have passed on,

A legacy of faith,

We honor You.

To those soldiers,

Who have worked hard,

And provided us with freedom,

We cherish you.

For you are the thread,

That has woven our nation,

—Great and strong.

You are the ones,

We have relied on,

Through peace and war.

And in our memory,

—You live on.

And there is One more to remember,

Jesus who died,

And rose up from the grave.

He died to give us freedom,

The One who has the power,

Our souls, to save.

We salute You!

Oh God, we need You!

As we remember one and all,

They did not fall,

In vain!

“He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 NKJV

Thank You, Jesus, and all the Veterans and their families for your sacrifice. May God bless our great nation with His grace and peace. Amen.
