Great is His Faithfulness

“Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!’” Lamentations 3:23-24 NLT

Dear Jesus, there’s nothing like a fresh coat of snow in Winter to give the brown earth a fresh, new appearance. It’s like a coating of grace has dropped from heaven to remind us of Your forgiveness, like wool. Great is Your faithfulness! Your mercy arrives like dawn to make the landscape sparkle and shine. My heart is filled with hope and joy. I celebrate this season by finding unique beauty in it—like ice formations or watching the waves freeze in place or by finding delight in kids ice skating or how the sun sets upon a lake to form rainbows. Thank You, Lord, for Your mercies that surround me daily and for giving me the gift of Salvation—my inheritance in Your presence—eternally. You are my hiding place from the cold winds, the One I run to and seek for my every need. Amen.

No matter the weather, no matter the season, God’s faithfulness is beyond compare. Daily, it is His gift to us—the inheritance and hope—of our Salvation.
