“I will sing to the Lord as long as I live. I will praise my God to my last breath!” Psalm 104:33 NLT

I love to hear,
A flurry-of-purries,
It’s like a “hum” in my ear.
Her gentle song,
Fills me with gladness,
Whenever I draw near.
It is a sign of contentment,
That joy lives inside her heart.
And it’s the gift of the Spirit,
That our Lord,
Longs to impart.
Each morning as I feed our Tiger Lily, I coax a kiss and a purr from her, like a prayer and praise. As I bend down and cuddle her, she purrs sweetly. It is our little ritual to begin each day, and it is one that our Lord longs to hear from each of us.
Jesus would love to hear some sweet sounds from us too. Do you begin your day by giving Him time? Or by connecting with a little prayer? Like this image, the Lord longs to draw near to His children. He wants to hold us close. Do you have a song for His ear?
“The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.” Psalm 28:7 NLT
