Drenched

In my photo,
The Rose of Sharon,
Is drenched.
The rain has come and saturated its petals.
The leaves and stems,
Every part of the flower,
Has been covered in heaven’s dew.
And as I focused my lens,
I wondered if we are drenched,
In His love,
In His mercy,
In His grace,
In His power?
Are we living under the reign,
Of His submission?
Do we allow Jesus to saturate our minds,
Our moods, our emotions,
With His thoughts and ways?
Are we seeking His strength,

And listening for His voice?
Do we allow Him to enfold us,
In our everyday decisions?
Do we allow Christ to cover us,
When trials or testing, like rain, come?
Lord, may we be drenched,
In Your goodness,
And Your favor,
Until the dew of Your Spirit,
Saturates, our very soul. Amen.
“Drip down, O heavens, from above, and let the clouds pour down righteousness; let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, and righteousness spring up with it. I, the Lord, have created it.” Isaiah 45:8 NASB
Are we drenched by Your Spirit?
Drenched, with Your love?
Quenched, by Your mercy?
Until we are baptized in Your goodness, from above?
Jesus says, “I am a rose of Sharon, a lily of the valleys.” in Song of Songs 2:1 (ESV)
