A Sunshine Lit Path

Yellow wildflowers

“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.” Revelation 5:13 ESV

We found a beautiful spot while hiking last week. The trail was lit with sunshine and paved with too. Yellow wildflowers formed a carpet as we took each step. A version of sunflowers grew toward heaven on the side. They were like a tapestry woven against a crystal blue sky and verdant greens in varying hues. God was at work majestically painting and weaving as He does in the Summer months to draw our eyes and focus unto Him. And once again, my heart joined in with the bees that buzzed and the birds who sang in this lovely corridor to offer Him purest praise.

“All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name. Selah” Psalm 66:4 ESV

Dear Lord, thank You for this spot with sunshine highlighting your sun-like creations. We felt Your holiness in this open meadow. We paused to appreciate You as Creator and the One Who formed this simple yet memorable scene. And as I photographed it, I loved watching You turn our weeks of draught into a productive place of growth and life again. Jesus, let this be the constant working of Your Spirit within us also; we pray. For we bring our worship unto You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit today and always—just like these “skyscraper sunflowers” with lifted hands. Amen.
